How to build it (example: “Ben …”)

1. Goal: Say "I ask" in Turkish.
2. Pieces: stem sor + aorist ending ar + ım
3. Result: sor + arım → sorarım

Aorist (simple present)

Use this for habits, general facts, and “I do X” statements.

Present continuous (-iyor)

Use this for actions happening now (“I am …-ing”).

Examples

• Ben bir soru sorarım. — I ask a question.
• Şimdi sana bir şey soruyorum. — I’m asking you something now.
• Onlar çok soru sorarlar. — They ask many questions.

Common uses

‘sormak’ is ‘to ask’ (a question). It often takes an object: ‘bir şey sormak’.
