How to build it (example: “Ben …”)

1. Goal: Say "I come" in Turkish.
2. Pieces: stem gel + aorist ending ir + im
3. Result: gel + irim → gelirim

Aorist (simple present)

Use this for habits, general facts, and “I do X” statements.

Present continuous (-iyor)

Use this for actions happening now (“I am …-ing”).

Examples

• Ben her hafta buraya gelirim. — I come here every week.
• Şimdi eve geliyorum. — I’m coming home now.
• Onlar birazdan gelirler. — They’ll come soon.

Common uses

‘gelmek’ is frequently used for invitations and plans (e.g. ‘geliyor musun?’).
