How to build it (example: “Ben …”)

1. Goal: Say "I see" in Turkish.
2. Pieces: stem gör + aorist ending ür + üm
3. Result: gör + ürüm → görürüm

Tip: The ending vowels change to “match” the last vowel of the stem. See verb endings for the full guide.

Aorist (simple present)

Use this for habits, general facts, and “I do X” statements.

Present continuous (-iyor)

Use this for actions happening now (“I am …-ing”).

Examples

• Ben seni görürüm. — I see you.
• Şu anda bir film görüyorum. — I’m watching a movie right now.
• Onlar her şeyi görürler. — They see everything.

Common uses

In Turkish, ‘görüşmek’ (to meet) is related, but it’s a different verb.

• film görmek (to watch a movie)

• görmek istemek (to want to see)
• görürüz (see you / we’ll see)
